The Indian film industry, known for its diverse storytelling and rich cinematic experiences, is abuzz with excitement following the release of the trailer for “Phir Aayi Haseen Dilruba.” Directed by Jayprad Desai and written by Kanika Dhillon Produced by Colour Yellow Productions and T-Series Films. The film is sequel to the 2021 film Haseen Dilruba, the film promises to deliver a compelling narrative woven with elements of romance, mystery, and intrigue.
The trailer begins with Rani admitting that both Rishu and her have done some crazy things for their love. Rishu tells her that he will listen to anything she says, but on one condition: that there should be no third person in between them. Enter Abhimanyu as the new lover boy in town! He asks her out on a movie date, and both of them start seeing each other pretty soon. As Rishu gets to know of Rani’s new affair, more twists await which includes a glimpse of a crocodile attack! The trailer ends on a surprise twist, with the entry of Jimmy Shergill. He introduces himself as the uncle of Neel; he says that he has all the questions he wants to ask because the case is personal.
While Tapsee will reprise her role as Rani, Vikrant will return as Rishu, living under the alias Ravi Varma. The film will also star Sunny Kaushal as Abhimanyu, Jimmy Sheirgill as Mrityunjay, Aditya Srivastava as Kishore Rawat, and Bhumika Dube in a key role.
The plot of the 2021 film revolves around the newly married couple, Rani and Rishu. While they fail to develop any kind of relationship with each other initially, the entry of Rishu’s charming cousin Neel Tripathi brings a twist to the story. Rani ends up having an affair with Neel, which eventually turns ugly. She realises her mistake and falls in love with Rishu. Rishu gets angry at first but then starts reciprocating Rani’s feelings. Meanwhile, Neel starts blackmailing the couple with Rani’s sex tapes. To get rid of Neel, Rani and Rishu devise a plan to murder him and hide the evidence. Their plan goes smoothly, and even the police fail to know their secret. While they believe that Rani has killed Rishu, the actual truth is only known to the couple.
After escaping the police, Rani and Rishu shift to a new place in Agra. While she lives as a paying guest, Rishu lives under the alias Ravi Varma. The lovebirds decide to evade the police and escape for their happily ever after. However, Kishore Rawat figures out what the duo is hiding from the police. As he chases to catch the couple, Rani takes help from an admirer of hers to run away.
“Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba” promises a rollercoaster of emotions, with bridges built, burned, and jumped off in pursuit of love and survival. The film will begin streaming on Netflix on August 9.
