Controversial reality show Bigg Boss OTT 3 was once again in the headlines after a video of contestants Armaan Malik and wife Kritika Malik went viral, and the couple was seen being intimate with each other in the house. After the video surfaced, Shive Sena Spokesperson and Secretary MLA Manisha Kayande reported to the Mumbai Police to file a complaint against the show.
A video surfaced online from the house of Bigg Boss OTT 3 where Armaan Malik and Kritika Malik were seen sharing an intimate moment with one another. MLA Manisha Kayande reacted by reporting the issue to the Mumbai Police, demanding they take action against the ‘vulgarity’ in the show. She condemned the video suggesting that the younger audience also viewed Bigg Boss OTT, wrongly influencing their minds. Moreover, Manisha Kayande also plans to reach the Information and Broadcasting Minister on concern of the issue.
Following the criticism, a spokesperson from the streaming platform of the show JioCinema issued an official statement where the streaming platform claimed that the video of Armaan and Kritika was doctored. The statement clarified that JioCinema adheres to strict programming guidelines and standards and ensures the quality and appropriateness of the content being streamed on the platform. Furthermore, JioCinema claimed that the recent video circulating from the Bigg Boss is fake and purposely includes obscenity.
JioCinema acknowledged the issue and said that the creation and circulation of this doctored clip is a serious matter. The team of the streaming platform is allegedly making efforts to identify the origins of the clip in order to initiate action against those responsible for the spreading of obscene and fake content on behalf of Bigg Boss OTT and JioCinema.
Contestant Armaan Malik has been the most controversial in the show Bigg Boss OTT 3 so far, especially for being involved in a polyamorous marriage with contestants Payal Malik and Kritika Malik. He was initially in the controversy for slapping Vishal Pandey. Recently, Payal Malik announced that she would be divorcing Armaan Malik as she is ‘done with the drama’. Meanwhile, Urfi Javed backed Armaan’s relationship with two wives, Deboleena Bhattacharjee and Rishabh Jaiswal condemned him for promoting polygamy.
