As India looks to deepen and diversify its energy mix, the sector has emerged as a central pillar of government policy. Balancing energy reliability, long-term net-zero commitments and economic growth, India has set out an ambitious capacity road map of targeting 500 GW renewable energy by FY30, 105 GW of new thermal capacity by FY35 and scaling nuclear power capacity to 100 GW by 2047.
