Ritesh Mishra has joined Myntra as senior vice president, heading category and revenue. He joins from departmental store chain Lifestyle India where he was the deputy chief executive officer.
On the other hand, Raymond Lifestyle Ltd has appointed Satyaki Ghosh as chief executive officer as part of its ongoing transformation effort to strengthen the company for next phase of growth. He joins from the Aditya Birla Group, where he was the chief executive officer for cellulosic fashion yarn at Grasim Industries, as per a media release.
In his new role, Mishra will lead Myntra’s category and revenue strategy while driving the next phase of growth, an industry executive said. He will also be part of Myntra’s senior leadership team. He was earlier also the chief of Marks & Spencer India.
Meanwhile, Ghosh has also spent over seven years with L’Oréal India where he held senior leadership roles including director for consumer products division with responsibility for brands such as L’Oréal Paris, Garnier, and Maybelline.
Raymond Group chairman Gautam Hari Singhania said Satyaki is joining Raymond Lifestyle at a crucial inflection point wherein the business is poised for growth and transformation with a plethora of opportunities across the sector. Raymond Lifestyle has also recently on-boarded EC Prasad who will also assume the chief financial officer role.
This fiscal, there has been a CEO churn in the Indian fashion industry. For instance, Shailesh Chaturvedi stepped down as MD & CEO of Arvind Fashions Limited with Amisha Jain taking over as his successor. Jain till recently was the managing director for denim maker Levi Strauss & Co for South Asia, Middle East, Africa and Eastern Europe. Levi Strauss filled the role with a new CEO Hiren Gor.
